I can’t believe my eyes when I look at the date of my last post and realize that 8months have passed.
It’s true what they say: time flies and life happens. So here are 8 pictures and 8 descriptions that capture the essence of each month up to now.

**I’ve hashTagged very simply what I’m wearing in the photo captions to try and stay true to the nature of this blog ūüôā

stacks on deck.

And by stacks I mean stacks of bracelets on my wrist!
(I wish I had stacks of cash on deck, if that’s what you were thinking)
Apparently this is a new trending fad–and I must say that I¬†am priveledged enough to receive one the first products from Clandestine Crave’s¬†hand crafted DIY¬†bracelets.

first batch of glamourous Clandestine Craves hand made bracelets&necklace!

prints.

Lately I’ve found myself going against my natural instincts of buying simplistic clothes and going more towards prints (cheaper ones at that).
I’ve realized it’s definitely one way to dress up an outfit without too much layering or going over board.
Paired with the right jewelry, prints are perfect for both day and night (I even get to feel a little more dressed up going into work at a lab).
Here’s a few printed tops/pieces I’ve accumulated over ¬†the past few weeks.
I tried not to make these photos so boring but I did take these myself so be forewarned!

Father’s Day Frolics: Food,Fashion,&Fun.

I hope everyone had a wonderful father’s day and got to spend it with their daddy’s. This is the first year spending father’s day without my dad as he is fulfilling his dreams halfway across the world. But I sure did and always miss him. So to keep myself busy and my mind off being without my daddy (as I am a daddy’s girl)–my manfriend and I enjoyed a day of laziness and¬†frolicking around town for some fun stuff.

one (wo)man’s trash–another (wo)man’s treasure.

Dear Readers (YES all 5 of you!–ha I kid),

It’s been way too long since I have posted (mostly because I was so busy hanging out with my mom while she was in town). Now that she’s gone back home I felt the only way to cure the blues¬†was to write about one of the fun things we did together. I also haven’t put up many outfit posts with pictures of me wearing the clothes I write about so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.
So while mom was in town we took a Saturday and jumped from thrift store to thrift store. The best one we came across was a giant Goodwill located in Norcross, GA. Although the difficult part of finding things is the time you have to invest in rummaging–but I must tell you if you look hard enough you can get some amazing things for way cheap.
I ended up picking up some awesome things I am waiting to wear when the weather gets a little warmer: a long floral print skirt, a one piece floral print dress, and two vintage Coach bags all for under $30.00.
My mom found a lot more things but wouldn’t allow me to photograph her (although she did give me a fashion show of all of her finds when we got home). She said “no paparazzi”.

luck of the Irish.

HAPPY MY FAVORITE COLOR (green) DAY EVERYONE!
Also known as Saint Patrick’s Day apparently…..
I really don’t need this holiday to celebrate my favorite color….some of you know that I celebrate this color everyday in almost a compulsive manner (hence the name mg).

Either way, in honor of this day I decided to put together a list of a few things (green of course) that I could only get my hands on through the “luck of the Irish”–meaning it might cost me a pot of gold to get my hands on these things. But it never hurts to chase the rainbow….or the leprechaun–whichever gets me to the gold!

i shop at the same store as my mom.

Have you ever: gone shopping as a little girl with your mom and followed her into what you thought were “lady” stores?
I know I definitely did when I was growing up….I felt like my mom had to drag me or bribe me to go into stores like Talbots or Ann Taylor (her favorite store to date) ALL the time.¬†I would follow my mom around the store bored out of my mind and then trail after her into the dressing room and sit on the floor and tell her she looked pretty.
Now I have to admit–I still dread going into Talbots and some other stores; but lately–I have found myself rummaging through the sale racks at Ann Taylor and have come to find things that I thought were cute. **Gasp** My mom doesn’t have to bribe me anymore to accompany her to Ann Taylor–instead, we try on clothes together in the same dressing room. And the best part is, mom gets so excited that we shop at the same store, she offers to buy me what I end up liking.
So this last time I went with my mom to the mall, I picked up two cute sweaters; and recently had the opportunity to wear one to a casual dinner with some friends. ¬†I have to say–the sweater=cute, the quality of the sweater=excellent, and the price=awesome.
And as a side note– my nude wedges finally came in so I threw together a really simple but classic outfit for this dinner.

spring tease.

In honor of this lovely weather, I thought I’d celebrate by purchasing some fun spring things.

As this warm weather has been approaching–I’ve been obsessing over neutral colors such as nude/bone.
I have come to find myself looking for the perfect pair of nude/bone colored shoes go with absolutely everything–yes everything.
On top of that i’m on this wedge rampage and I finally managed to find a pair that satisfied my criteria and also came in my size: a cute closed toe pair of nude wedges from lulus.com
Side note: apparently nude shoes make your legs look longer and skinnier (as short as I am, I could definitely use a boost in the height department).
